– Following are the criteria for selection of a College Librarian. The Candidate must: 1. a) Be a post-graduate in Library Science with at least 60% of marks. 2. b) Have a doctoral degree (Ph. D.) in the subject of Library Science. 3. c) Have done any bachelor’s degree with at least 55% of marks. 4. d) Have passed 10th and +2 securing at least 50% marks in each. 5. e) Have at least 10 years of work experience as an assistant librarian. 6. f) Have secured at least 60% of marks in the selection interview. 7. g) Be in the age range of 35 to 50 years as on 15 July 2019. If a candidate fulfills all the above criteria but e) above, the case may be sent to the review committee for its approval. Based on the criteria given above and without assuming any additional information, take a decision for the following candidate: Raman Pandey is a post-graduate of 2002-2004 in Library science with 67% of marks, he has passed B.A. from Ramjas college obtaining 62% marks. His passing marks in the 10th and +2 examination was 58% and 61%, respectively. He is September 1978 born and is working as an assistant librarian in a Delhi university for the past eight years. Prior to his current post, he had worked on a similar post in a college from July 2007 to November 2011. He is a doctorate in library science and fared well in the selection interview by scoring 68% marks.
